Posts: 4 (07/14/08 06:38:40) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I wanted to thank TORHS for a well run Nationals, and congratulate all the teams at every age group and division that came out to Buffalo play. I especially wanted to give props to the AAA 95 teams for such a strong showing. There were some great games in this division and the end result could have been any team winning the championship. In the end Team Harrow won the AAA championship against the Cougars in OT. They were a great team and I wanted to say they played their butts off and congratulate them on a hard fought game and a great win. I also wanted to congratulate the Cougars the underdog team that was given no chance to even play in the playoffs. You boys showed a lot of heart and came up big. On a secondary note I wanted to say it looked, by the chatter on the message boards, that the Cougars should not be playing AAA hockey and probably wouldn't even do well in the AA bracket. Well I hope this puts all the bad chatter on the boards to rest. The Cougars are playing where they should be. They (a club team) came in second in the country for their age group. It seems that the guys from TORHS do know what they are talking about and placed the Cougars in the correct bracket. My last thought goes out to IKNOWHOCKEY. You told me that if the Cougars "even placed" you would apologize on this forum every day for a week. You gave your word on this very message board that you would apologize to the Cougar players and organization for an entire week. Are you a man of your word? If you can't keep your promise I understand, but please change your log on name to IDONTKNOWHOCKEY because you obviously don't know doodilly squat. Thanks again to all the guys at TORHS for running a great Nationals and we can't wait for next season to start. GO COUGARS!!!

The Cougars played horribile all round robin only winning one game. They got lucky beating Black Ice (which !% for choking) in the semis. I just looked up the stats of that game and you were out shot 29-10. Ive always said your goalie is amazing but the rest of your team is marginal. If everyone thinks you should be in that group like you say why are they saying its a huge upst on the boards. I guess on any given day you 'll be able to pull out a game but thats all it is. I also love how you say second in the country. First of all there was only 5 teams and you lost big to 3 of them. Second of all go play Narch and see all the teams there. People will laugh at that statement being second in the country. In your own words Torhs knows what they are talking about by putting you in there, right? Let me paste their own words on how much of an upset it was below. It doesnt seem they thought u should have won either. And Black Ice $!%#+ also you choking sissies. Let's start with the Squirt AAA division. The Semi's started early this morning with the Revision Black Ice taking on the Cougars. The Black Ice were the cream of the crop in this division, but this game the Cougars would have their number. Wes Devoy was the main reason for this huge upset; he was a beast in net. Saves after saves throughout the game until the final buzzer rang. Team Harrow would walk into the Finals after a big win against a stunned Tour Oakville Coyotes 95's. Both the Coyotes and Black Ice had a great tournament and should be proud of how they played. The championship game saw the Cougars fight back from a 3-1 deficit and send it to overtime. Team Harrow would not be denied the win as they won the game in just a few seconds of the overtime. The Cougars were stunned as the Harrow boys all celebrated the win. Great job to all the teams in the Squirt Division.

Listen Peaches, you said we wouldn't place. We did place, and the round robin games were all close except for our first game with Black Ice. You are correct we did not win a bunch of round robin games, but I also know a team that did great in the round robin games, they actually won all the round robin games, but went home early anyway. There were 29 teams and we did come in 2^nd despite your predictions. You say we got lucky beating Black Ice, but by all your previous statements you said we would never be able to accomplish that goal. Yes our goalie is AMAZING thank you for at least one compliment (I never thought we'd get that), but our goalie did not score our goals. We play back and wait for the other team to make a mistake and take advantage of that mistake. If we got lucky beating Black Ice how lucky did we get with team Harrow going into OT? Are they a bad team in your eyes? Team Harrow handled Black Ice pretty well, barely losing to them in the round robin game, I think Harrow is a great team, and played a bunch of great games. I hate to do this but it is fun getting you upset about some 12 year olds playing a game. Let's look at the shots on goal 1^st game - BI - SOG = 15 Coug -SOG= 12 2^nd game Coy - SOG = 19 Coug - SOG = 15 3^rd game - Snip - SOG = 15 Coug - SOG = 19 4^th game - Har - SOG = 20 Coug - SOG = 12 5^th game - BI - SOG = 29 Coug - SOG = 10 WOW! The cougars "Marginal Players" made their shots count in this game, it must be that marginal accuracy. 6^th game - Har - SOG = 20 Coug - SOG = 5 Same for this game! So we had three games out of whack on SOG out of six. Once again I say our boys the "marginal players" just really shoot very accurately or are the other goalies not keeping up? Please IDONTKNOWHOCKY don't start on the other teams goalies. I thought they all played very well. I am not here to put down any team I thought everyone played great. Also, why are you putting down Black Ice in your post? I think they are a talented team and deserve more respect also. Please, please, please stop with all the bashing, try to be a good sport. All I am saying is that you said we wouldn't do well. Did we make it to the finals? Did we almost pull it off in OT? Why do you dislike the cougars so much? We keep to ourselves don't bash anyone and always have nice things to say about the teams we play. Is it because we are a Club Team? We shouldn't be playing AAA because we don't have a kid from Alaska, and two from California? I just wanted to get that apology you gave your word on!!! Which I knew would never happen! You are not a good sport, you did not say hey cougars nice job instead you keep making EXCUSES; you only bring negativity to this board. Your word is crap and you have no honor. Please stop posting!!!! Once again I would like to say all the teams played great, TORHS put together a great tournament, (despite the lack of ink on the blogs about the upset the Cougars pulled off), and everyone don't let this guy IDONTKNOWHOCKEY think you did not play well.

I will stand up and say I was wrong about the Cougars chances and also say congratulations to them. I did cut on them in my other posts, but hey they worked hard and did well. IKNOWHOCKEY you do seem to have a lot of venom in your posts. You did say they did not have a chance to place, and you did say you would apologize, so why all the back peddling? Did your kid get cut from the cougars? Because you said he did not play for black ice and he doesn't play for us out of Marple. So what's the deal? Just step up, be a man and apologize.

But I do have some issues with you. I am the coach of the Cougars Squirt AAA team. I don't get involved with message boards to be honest but I wanted to read some of what people are saying about my team and the others. First of all, the Squirt AAA division was great. There were a few upsets along the way and yes our team getting to the finals was not was expecting by anyone but our own players. Our goal this year was to play AAA. We knew as a team it would be a tough task. We built our team around a great goalie and great defensive unit. We knew our strengths and weaknesses and prepared all season for it. I have issue with saying we were lucky. You may feel that way but I know how hard our kids worked for this. We battled Black Ice all season at all the regionals. They had the better of us but the gap closed all season long. This is tournament play. You play to get to the playoff round and from there anything can happen. And this is where fighting for every win comes into play. We draw our kids from a small community and stick with them. We don't go out and gobble up all the best players from other teams to build powerhouse teams. And in this case, it really did not matter. We knocked off everyones favorite team in the semis and took who I thought was the best team there to overtime. Not bad for a team that had no all stars according to TORHS directors or yourself who think that the rest of our players marginal. Remember what the great Herb Brooks said when he picked his 1980 USA Hockey team. He wasn't looking for the best players, he was looking for right players. So to call us lucky is insulting to my kids and anyone who knows them. And to call Black Ice a bunch of Choking sissies is uncalled for. We have a great rivalry with them and I give Jason credit for building a great team. Our teams have developed a lot of respect for each other over this season. I thought this was suppose to be about the kids. I guess it is about frustrated parents who think they know everything. Well you just keep counting us out. But we'll always be around making life miserable for all the fan favorite teams. Have a nice day!!!!!!

Hey IDONTKNOWHOCKEY I see that there were only 6 teams in NARCH must be no competition there either huh! As you said there were only 5 teams in TORHS and you said that the competition was low, and you said that the competition would be much higher at NARCH. It looks like two of the teams BI and Oakville played at both and had the same results at both. Hey let's do something a little fun here. I am going to post the blog from NARCH just like you posted one from TORHS. Let's see what happens. Squirt Platinum Semifinals were played this morning and OC Blades and Mission Mafia cruised to easy wins. So, that sets up tomorrow's championship game rematch between OCB and Mafia. The round robin matchup between these two teams went 5-2 in favor of Mafia. Don't count out OCB in the final though, that team is extremely talented. Who did the OC Blades cruise past to make those easy wins? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm….. Stop causing tension in a kid's game! Anyone can win on any given day! There is no one super team! Let the12 year old kids play without taking jabs via a message board. They are young only once so let them enjoy their time playing a game!!!!
